Carolyn is a seasoned Technology Consultant and Principal of Everett Alan LLC with over 20 years of experience serving the non-profit and philanthropic sectors, including the Rockefeller and Mellon Foundations. Renowned for her expertise in strategic planning, non-profit technology solutions, IT modernization, business systems implementation, data governance, and cybersecurity, she has led more than 50 technology transformation projects that have enhanced efficiency, reduced costs, and improved security for various organizations. With a deep understanding of the unique needs of philanthropic organizations, Carolyn excels in crafting solutions that maximize impact and efficiency. Her career includes roles as Director of Operations and Business Systems at the Mellon Foundation and Chief Technology Officer at the Rockefeller Foundation, where she led significant technology and operational improvements. In her consulting work, she has assisted community foundations, private foundations, and other non-profit organizations in digital transformation, data governance, and business process reengineering efforts. This year Carolyn has been supporting the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles in their digital transformation by analyzing current business processes, identifying inefficiencies, recommending targeted improvements, and re-envisioning future workflows to implement in alignment with the Foundation’s evolving strategy. She holds degrees in International Business, French, and Information Systems, along with certifications in Project Management and Agile methodologies, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
