Dick Myers’ Bio
Dick’s career in the Information technology field spans more than 50 years. His areas of expertise include database management, technology infrastructure, technology project management, financial and trust accounting, donor, and grants management. During his career, he has authored or co-authored three software products for fund accounting and grants management, project management and a database user interface. The scope of his work is extensive, from planning and developing strategies to implementing organizational-wide and industry-wide systems.
His other industry activities include founding and consulting to the MicroEdge FIMS User Group Executive Committee from 2000-2007, the Fusion Labs Special Interest Group in 2007 and the Blackbaud/Fusion Labs User Forums in 2010. He was also a founding member of Community Foundation Information Technology group and a co-designer of the AST Trust seamless investment technology project of the Technology Steering Committee of Community Foundations of America (CFA) 2001-2004. He has been a contributor to the work of committees of the Technology Affinity Group (now TagTech) and the Best Practices Technology Committee of the community foundation’s Fiscal and Administrative Officers Group (FAOG). Myers has been a regular speaker on technology topics at the Council of Foundation Fall Conference for Community Foundations and other industry conferences and meetings: MicroEdge MESC 2013, 2014, 2015 and CMF 2015 webinar Tri-State Webinar: Making a Software Change, FAOG Conferences 2015, 2019 and 2021. FIS is a member of FOAG and consultant to the FAOG Technology and Best Practices Technology Committees. FIS is also a member of TAG and AICPA’s non-Profit Section.
Starting in his mid-twenties, Myers has served in multiple volunteer capacities in non-profits from licking stamps to fund raising and has served as President and Board Chair.

Since 2008, we have supported and participated in the technology efforts of the FAOG of community foundations. We have also been a vendor member of the group since they adopted their non-profit status.
